Currently Unicef (United Nations of International Children's Emergency Fund) is studying the possibility to open its own top-level domain. Since the association is based in nearly 190 countries, the idea does not seem bad and could actually turn out as something very efficient!
Indeed, despite of UNICEF.ORG their website available in five languages, a top-level domain could be a great advantage for the humanitarian organization as it could strengthen their presence on the Internet.
Also, since the Unicef has been fighting for years for the children’s survival and those in emergency situations, one can easily imagine that a larger spreading of the association presence online would help their cause even more because of a better accessibility, visibility and advertisement of actions which are being organized, for example.
