Why did I receive old emails?
We have recently migrated to a new e-mail platform. This new platform offers us more stability and security guarantees. It also allows us to expand our growth and offer you extra features in the future. The first example of that is the fact that we've upgraded your mailbox to 250 MB, which is a considerable improvement. To avoid any interruption, we've also migrated all e-mail that was stored online. For the majority of our customer base, this won't cause any issues, but because you have enabled the feature to leave a copy of your e-mail on the server, you are currently receiving e-mails twice. More specifically, old e-mails that you have stored on the server.
Please notice that this is not a bug, nor is it a security issue. It is a limitation of your e-mail client that cannot determine which of the e-mails stored online are old or new. As a consequence, your e-mail client will just download all items and they'll appear twice on your computer.
Please also be aware that no e-mail was lost.
The is a one time phenomenon. We advise you to delete the double occurrences. Our apologies for the inconvenience, this was a necessary intervention. It seems more acceptable to have e-mail twice, than not to migrate stored items and have the risk of missing mails.
