How does Greylisting work?

In the battle against spam we have activated the Greylisting function on our mail servers. This technology, based on the verification of the IP addresses, allows to drastically reduce the amount of spam messages.

When an e-mail is sent, the server will check if he has already received a similar request, by associating the message with the IP-address of the recipient.
If the server doesn’t recognize this combination, the message will automatically be rejected and the parameters will be saved on the system.
At second attempt, the server will recognize the message and the sending request will be accepted.

Contrary to spam servers, the majority of servers that manage the sending of mails are by default configured to retry sending when the first attempt fails. The delay of this new attempt depends on the configuration of the mail server that you use (so the server of your internet service provider). If you notice a slowdown, we advise you to contact your Internet Service Provider to check the configuration of these parameters .
We can in no way intervene in the configuration of the servers of your service provider.
